In a file search, the ACS is responsible for setting or returning the name of the file that is expected to be searched. An ACS object will usually accept an asterisk, question mark or other wildcards that have been designated in the search box. Once a string has been put, ACS will access the database, look for files within the designated filenames or patterns, and return the results to the user. Since it will access files under the management of the operating system, it has to be used under the Windows operating system.
